Work completed under this project segment covered the road section from FM2978 to Dobbin-Huffsmith, including the intersection at Highland Boulevard, environmental approval, bridgework and right-of-way clearing. The next step for the project is the paving work to be completed by Montgomery County Precinct 2. WMPID meets community needs by keeping local dollars local

WMPID meets community needs by keeping local dollars local

The three-mile road construction project is a joint partnership between WMPID, Montgomery County Precinct 2, and local developers to meet the growing needs of the community. The Woodtrace Boulevard extension adds another east/west thoroughfare to alleviate the congestion caused by increased traffic on FM 1488. The Woodtrace Boulevard extension will give Woodlands and surrounding residents a more direct route to the newly constructed Aggie (and Baylor) Expressway. It will also make travel into WMPID more convenient and attract more shoppers and residents.
